information for teachers

Welcome to the Teachers' pages!

teacher
We are here to offer support, advice and information to individual teachers, schools and local colleges, on the teaching of materials-based subjects to 14-19 year olds.

Resources
On these pages you will find valuable information and links to teaching materials and resources that you can use to assist with your lessons.

We have an online database through which you can search for information and resources on all areas of Materials Science. Within the database you will find links to teacher’s resource packs, toolkits and other educational guides.

Interactive Content
Within the students pages we have a number of interactive and non-interactive flash games and movies that can be explored online at any time. A collection of these is also available on our Materials Interactive CD-ROM, copies of which may be ordered free of charge for your school.

Additional Information
Student writing on chalkboardWe also have information on careers, details of open days and university courses across the country, and places of interest you might like to visit with your school. Over the coming months we will be running competitions that you can encourage your pupils to enter.

We hope that you will engage with us as we continue to build and develop this website, and we would be very interested to hear your views and any issues you may have with teaching material in your school. We would like to be able to develop new resources that you feel would be most useful to assist in your teaching.
